As climate change and global disruption intensify, industries like rail are being called to adapt, innovate, and care for their people in new ways. Rising stress, uncertainty, and “eco-anxiety” are not just individual wellbeing issues — they’re shared challenges that shape morale, creativity, and our ability to respond to change.
In this session, climate psychologist Steffi Bednarek explores how teams and leaders can strengthen their psychological response-ability — the capacity to stay grounded, compassionate, and resourceful under pressure. Drawing on climate psychology, systems thinking, and leadership development, she will share practical ways to:
- Build frameworks of care that foster collective resilience and help prevent burnout.
- Work skilfully with emotions such as anxiety, uncertainty, and frustration.
- Stay creative, future-focused, and courageous when certainty is no longer available.
Participants will leave with new perspectives and tools to cultivate resilience — in themselves, their teams, and the wider organisation.
