Speaker bio
One of the most recognisable faces in world rugby, Joe Marler is a two-time Premiership champion with more than 75 England caps. Having played his entire club career at Harlequins, winning two Premiership titles, the European Challenge Cup and making 204 appearances, Joe announced his retirement from professional rugby in November 2024.

Joe also has a successful podcast, "Joe Marler's Things People Do". Together, Joe and his co-host, Tom Fordyce, meet ordinary people doing extraordinary things. After a hugely popular run of live shows at Clapham Grand and a headline show at the Apollo, "Things People Do!" will be back touring again in 2025.

In 2020 Joe published his debut book, Loose Head, Confessions of an (un)professional rugby player.

He is passionate mental health advocate and ambassador for CALM. In 2021 Joe teamed up with Sky Sports to launch Big Boys Don't Cry, a sensitive and uplifting documentary which followed Joe as he travelled across the UK to learn how others manage their mental wellbeing.
