Rebecca Lomax is a trusted voice in frontline engagement and operational communication within the rail industry. With a background in international technical marketing and events, she joined Network Rail in 2016 and co-created the Western route’s internal communications function. In this role, she led strategies that connected over 2,700 colleagues to the organisation’s vision and priorities, embedding a culture of transparency and shared purpose.
Progressing into project management roles within Western route control and later operations, Rebecca delivered a diverse portfolio of improvement initiatives while specialising in frontline communication and engagement. She ensured more than 800 operational colleagues were informed, empowered, and aligned with strategic goals; driving engagement, innovation, and resilience while championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. Her expertise lies in creating human-centric approaches through active listening, transforming frontline insight into actionable improvements and shaping a safer, more customer-focused railway.
